Which Cloud86 web hosting plan fits?

Start is the entry plan for a small site or a basic setup. It has the fewest resources and a traffic limit, so it is less suited to a growing site or several busy projects.

Medium adds capacity for multiple websites and unlimited traffic. It is a practical step up for a growing site, or for several sites including a WooCommerce store. Power has the largest website, storage and database allowances, plus unlimited email and traffic. Choose it for multiple sites or projects that need more room. The product page does not publish shared-plan CPU or RAM allocations, so the tier names alone do not indicate a specific processing allocation.

What stands out in Cloud86 web hosting

Cloud86 lists SSD storage for all three plans, along with free SSL certificates, a QUIC.cloud CDN and LiteSpeed Cache for WordPress. Plesk is the control panel for managing websites, email, databases, files and backups; it also offers one-click CMS installation. Cloud86 says its daily automatic backups are kept for seven days and can be restored through Plesk.

The provider says its servers are in Dutch data centres, mainly at QTS in Groningen. It does not offer a location choice for these shared plans. Cloud86 provides the hosting platform and support, while customers manage their own sites, email, databases and backups in Plesk; this is not presented as a comprehensive managed website service. Support is available by email, phone and chat through My Cloud86. Published help-centre hours do not establish round-the-clock human support.

Cloud86 also offers migration assistance, but its free transfer service excludes Webhosting Start. As shared hosting, the service has fair-use limits: unusually heavy resource use can affect other customers and may require action by Cloud86.

Introductory prices, terms and renewals

Cloud86 applies an introductory rate to the initial subscription term. A longer initial term means paying upfront for that term at the introductory rate; it does not lock in that rate for later renewals. At the end of a fixed term, the contract changes to monthly billing at the then-applicable regular rate. Start and Medium are offered on annual or three-year terms, while Power also has a monthly option. Cloud86 advertises a 30-day money-back guarantee.

When another web host may suit you better

Cloud86’s shared plans do not offer a selectable server location. GreenGeeks lets customers choose among its listed data-centre locations, including Chicago, Montreal, Amsterdam and Singapore. If you want a provider that explicitly describes shared hosting as fully managed, PlanetHoster says it manages the infrastructure and offers hosting locations in France, Switzerland or Canada. Frequently asked questions

Is Cloud86 Webhosting managed hosting?

It is shared hosting, not a separately identified comprehensive managed service. Cloud86 provides the hosting platform and support; customers manage their websites, email, databases and backups through Plesk.

Which Cloud86 web hosting plan should I choose?

Start suits a small site or basic setup. Medium adds capacity and unlimited traffic for several sites or a growing project, while Power has the largest allowances for multiple or more resource-intensive sites.

Where are Cloud86’s web hosting servers?

Cloud86 says these plans run in Dutch data centres and identifies QTS in Groningen as its main location. The shared plans do not offer a location selector.

How do Cloud86 web hosting backups work?

Cloud86 says backups are made automatically each day and retained for seven days. Customers can restore them through Plesk.

What happens when a Cloud86 web hosting term ends?

After a fixed initial term, the contract moves to monthly billing at the then-applicable regular rate. The introductory rate applies to the initial term, and Cloud86 advertises a 30-day money-back guarantee.
