Soverin B.V. was founded in 2014 and is based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. It is known for email services built around privacy and digital sovereignty, including mailbox hosting with custom domains, aliases, calendar and contact synchronisation.

The Sharing Group announced its acquisition of Soverin on September 3, 2025, through its digital division, TSG Online. The group said Soverin’s name, team and services would remain unchanged following the acquisition. Soverin says its services use open email standards and infrastructure it owns in the Netherlands.

What Soverin sells

Consumer email hosting

Soverin Mailbox provides a hosted mailbox with webmail and support for standard email clients. The plan listed in our comparison includes one mailbox, 25 GB of storage, unlimited aliases, a calendar, contact synchronisation, spam and virus filtering, and a migration import tool. It is billed annually and includes a 30-day mailbox money-back guarantee; purchased domains are excluded.

Business and partner email hosting

Soverin offers email services for small and medium-sized businesses, as well as hosters, internet service providers, managed service providers and resellers. Business and partner options include configurable or white-label services, a self-service dashboard and partner-facing API capabilities.

Domain registration and management

Customers can optionally register, transfer and manage custom domains alongside the email service. Domain purchases are separate from the stated mailbox money-back guarantee.

SoSmart

SoSmart is described as a smart relay and mail-filtering service for independently operated mail servers. Soverin’s public information does not clearly confirm its general availability.

Soverin Suite

Soverin has announced a collaboration suite covering email, calendars, contacts, documents, file storage, video calls and chat. The company describes it as forthcoming and invites interested users to join an early-access group.

Servers and support

Soverin’s Dutch-language FAQ says its own servers are in Dutch data centres and that customer data stays in the Netherlands. Its English FAQ refers to servers in Europe, while its terms say personal data is processed within the EU. Specific data-centre facilities and cities are not identified in the information reviewed.

Support is available by email, alongside a help centre and knowledge base. The company does not publish support hours on its contact page; in a public response, it said it is closed on weekends.

Who Soverin suits

Soverin may suit individuals who want a custom-domain mailbox and businesses or service providers seeking hosted, configurable or white-label email. It is less suited to buyers who need a clearly named data-centre location, published support hours or confirmation that every announced product is generally available.
