Purelymail

Its offer includes Simple and Advanced email plans, plus optional priority support.

About the company

Purelymail was created by Scott Johnson, who said in 2025 that he had started building the service about six years earlier. Its dated news archive includes a post from March 2019. In March 2025, Johnson announced that he had sold Purelymail to Kevin; the company’s About page identifies Add Rabbit, LLC as its current operator.

Purelymail publishes a mailing address in Erie, Pennsylvania, and says it is incorporated in Delaware. It does not identify a formal headquarters. The service is known for no-frills email hosting with custom domains and routing, rather than an all-in-one office suite.

What Purelymail offers

Email hosting

Purelymail hosts email for custom or shared domains. Its Simple and Advanced options include mailbox access, routing and webmail. The service supports standard email protocols and provides tools such as Roundcube webmail, filters and a mail import and export tool. Our comparison lists features including custom domains, IMAP, POP3 and SMTP access, catch-all addresses, and a migration tool.

This type of hosting can suit individuals, families or organisations that want email on their own domain and do not need a bundled productivity suite. The Simple plan is listed with annual billing in our comparison; the provider says substantially higher resource use may require a move to Advanced pricing.

Optional priority support

Customers can choose an optional priority support tier if they want their requests prioritised. This is a support option, not a separate hosting product.

Servers and support

Purelymail says its servers are in AWS’s US-East-1 region in northern Virginia. It provides documentation and a Discord community, and offers support through a helpdesk ticket. Response times can vary, and the company does not publish support hours. Priority support is available as an option.

Who should consider Purelymail?

Purelymail may suit people looking for straightforward custom-domain email, flexible routing and access through webmail or standard email clients. It is worth considering if you are comfortable managing email settings and do not need a wider suite of collaboration tools.

Look elsewhere if you need a provider with published support hours, a stated uptime warranty, or a bundled set of productivity applications. Also check Purelymail’s terms if your planned use involves mailing lists or promotional email, which its terms prohibit.
