Top 5 ARK Server Hosts in 2026

Choosing between ARK: Survival Evolved and ARK: Survival Ascended should not force you to rule out a host. This 2026 ranking compares five providers that list both games, so you can weigh memory, backups, locations and support before you pick.

How we ranked these ARK hosts

Every provider here lists both ARK titles, the defining requirement for this comparison. We then considered RAM, DDoS protection, backups, storage type, support and server locations. These features help you compare what each host offers, but they do not guarantee performance for a particular map, player count or mod setup. We rank on listed specs and features rather than lab tests.

1. PingPerfect

PingPerfect is our top pick for groups looking for both ARK versions, a Netherlands location and a broad choice of other server locations. It lists 6 GB RAM, NVMe SSD storage, backups and DDoS protection. You can switch games, and the provider lists 250 supported games, which is useful if your group rotates between ARK and other titles.

• Strengths: 6 GB RAM, NVMe SSD storage, backups, DDoS protection and a Netherlands server.
• Strengths: Daily backups, game switching, mod installation and 24/7 availability are listed.

• Limits: Support is listed by ticket, rather than live chat.
• Limits: A dedicated IP and voice server are not listed.

Choose PingPerfect if you value its listed RAM, daily backups and Netherlands location. Its support is ticket-based, so it may be less suitable if you want to contact support through live chat. It also lists a free trial or free server, which gives you another option to explore before committing.

2. Apex Hosting

Apex Hosting stands out for its support options and stated uptime guarantee. It lists both ARK games, 2 GB RAM, NVMe SSD storage, backups, DDoS protection and a Netherlands server. Its memory listing is lower than PingPerfect’s, so check the plan carefully if you expect a demanding setup or intend to add mods.

• Strengths: Live chat, email, ticket and Discord support are listed.
• Strengths: A Netherlands location, 24/7 availability and a 99.99% uptime guarantee are listed.

• Limits: The listing shows 2 GB RAM.
• Limits: No free trial or dedicated IP is listed.

Apex suits groups that want several ways to reach support and an explicit uptime guarantee. It also offers Multicraft, a modpack installer and game switching. Its listed locations include several European countries and a range of destinations outside Europe, so check which one best fits your players.

3. Citadel Servers

Citadel Servers lists both ARK titles, NVMe SSD storage, DDoS protection and a Netherlands location. It supports 300 games, the largest listed selection among these five hosts. However, its 0.5 GB RAM listing is notably lower than the other providers’ figures, so confirm that the plan fits your intended server setup.

• Strengths: Backups, 24/7 availability, live chat and ticket support are listed.
• Strengths: The provider lists a 100% uptime guarantee, TCAdmin and a modpack installer.

• Limits: The listing shows 0.5 GB RAM, the lowest amount in this ranking.
• Limits: A free trial or free server is not listed.

Consider Citadel if its broad game selection, support languages and Netherlands location suit your group. Before choosing it for ARK, ask whether the available plan’s resources match your needs. Its monthly billing and game-switching option may also be useful if your group changes games often.

4. Server.pro

Server.pro pairs both ARK titles with 4 GB RAM, NVMe SSD storage and a dedicated IP. It also lists DDoS protection, backups and a free trial or free server option. Its locations include Germany, France, the UK and Poland, but not the Netherlands.

• Strengths: 4 GB RAM, a dedicated IP, NVMe SSD storage and daily backups are listed.
• Strengths: DDoS protection, game switching and a free trial or server are listed.

• Limits: No Netherlands location is listed.
• Limits: Support is listed through tickets and Discord, not live chat.

Choose Server.pro if a dedicated IP or trial matters more than a Netherlands server. Its listed RAM is higher than Apex’s and Citadel’s, and the provider names 40 GB of storage. It also lists unlimited player slots, though that label alone does not tell you how many players a particular setup can support.

5. Nitrado

Nitrado lists both ARK games, 4 GB RAM, DDoS protection and a 99.9% uptime guarantee. Backups are included, with daily frequency specified. The provider lists SSD storage, its own control panel and a mod/plugin installer. Its locations include Germany and the UK, but not the Netherlands.

• Strengths: Live chat, tickets and Discord support are listed.
• Strengths: Daily backups, 24/7 availability and support in several languages are listed.

• Limits: The listing names SSD storage, not NVMe SSD.
• Limits: No Netherlands server or free trial is listed.

Nitrado suits you if you want several support channels and a broad choice of support languages. Its 4 GB RAM and daily backups may also fit your needs if you are comfortable selecting a location outside the Netherlands. Its listed 14-day money-back period is longer than the periods stated by the other ranked providers.

Hosts that narrowly missed the ranking

Sparked Host lists both ARK games, DDoS protection and a free trial, but backups are not listed. Oxygenserv lists ARK: Survival Ascended but not Survival Evolved, and its only listed location is France.

How to choose an ARK server host

First, confirm which ARK title your group will play and select that version when ordering. All five ranked hosts list both games, and each lists game switching. Still, check that the plan you choose supports the version you want to run. This matters especially if you expect to move a world between titles: do not assume that switching games automatically transfers a save.

Compare RAM and storage as features, not guarantees of player capacity or mod performance. The listed RAM ranges from 0.5 GB to 6 GB; four hosts name NVMe SSD storage, while Nitrado lists SSD. If you plan to use mods or a large map, ask the provider whether the specific plan suits that setup. Also confirm whether changing the plan later is possible and what happens to your existing files.

Location and backups matter too. PingPerfect, Apex Hosting and Citadel Servers list a Netherlands server; Server.pro and Nitrado do not. PingPerfect, Server.pro and Nitrado specify daily backups. Apex Hosting and Citadel Servers list backups but do not state a frequency in the details used for this comparison. Ask hosts that do not state a frequency how often backups run, and check how restoration works.

Finally, consider the management features your group will use. A mod installer can simplify setup, while a dedicated IP or trial may matter for a particular server arrangement. Check support channels as well: live chat is listed by Apex Hosting, Citadel Servers and Nitrado, while PingPerfect lists ticket support. Compare the exact plan and game version with the provider before you choose in 2026.
